The Intelligent Investor

Hi folks,

This is a classic book and worth a read for a wider mind and knowledge.I hope you'll find it useful, so enjoy it.I put the link on the E-book section or here to download.

Book review:
Among the library of investment books promising no-fail strategies for riches, Benjamin Graham's classic, The Intelligent Investor, offers no guarantees or gimmicks but overflows with the wisdom at the core of all good portfolio management.

The hallmark of Graham's philosophy is not profit maximization but loss minimization. In this respect, The Intelligent Investor is a book for true investors, not speculators or day traders. He provides, "in a form suitable for the laymen, guidance in adoption and execution of an investment policy" (1). This policy is inherently for the longer term and requires a commitment of effort. Where the speculator follows market trends, the investor uses discipline, research, and his analytical ability to make unpopular but sound investments in bargains relative to current asset value. Graham coaches the investor to develop a rational plan for buying stocks and bonds, and he argues that this plan must be a bulwark against emotional behavior that will always be tempting during abrupt bull and bear markets.

Since it was first published in 1949, Graham's investment guide has sold over a million copies and has been praised by such luminaries as Warren E. Buffet as "the best book on investing every written." These accolades are well deserved. In its new form--with commentary on each chapter and extensive footnotes prepared by senior Money editor, Jason Zweig--the classic is now updated in light of changes in investment vehicles and market activities since 1972. What remains is a better book. Graham's sage advice, analytical guides, and cautionary tales are still valid for the contemporary investor, and Zweig's commentaries demonstrate the relevance of Graham's principles in light of 1990s and early twenty-first century market trends.

Martin Pring-Technical Analysis for Short-Term Traders

Book Review

Hi all.I added an e-book by Mr.Martin J Pring on the e-book section .It's one of my favorite setup on Price Action trade. It's called a Technical analysis for Short-Term Traders. As far as i know that many traders do the day trading, so i think this book should come in handy for those who trade in day trading term.Im trading with this pattern too and I will put a high recommendation on this book as the result is amazing. To help you with the peak and through, make sure you understand with a support and resistance line ( I already post an explanation related to this topic here on my blog..so dig it first. click HERE).I usually trade this pattern in naked mode, but sometimes ago, i find an indicator that can configure out to help you find the shape of the trend. It called Golden_Section..try to google it, as I cant attach it to this blog ( damn this blogger site can only post and attach a very limited file extension).I set everything to false on that indicator for the thing I need is a peak and bottom indicator and connect them thru a line to see the peak and valley.I hope you enjoy the book.Should any of you have question or need a discussion on the topic, reach me on the chatting widget and i'll come to you.:).As for today I trade on Eur (short on 1.5202) and currently in a negative pips (-21 pips), and in GBP-JY (long @ 203.88) (+28 pips). As for the Eur-Usd, I plan to hold the longer trade, so must be patient enough. And for the GBP-JY, i took that trade just for a retracement. The price having a hard time to cracking the 203.50ish and keep bouncing after reach 203.80 ish.Hmm actually there are some another reasons for the GBP-JY he he he but it will be a long explanation.Since trade solely based on a retracement only is suicide.Laimas
